Several of our members, who were also in the Men and Boys; Choir at St. Werburgh's have asked that we create a page so that we may upload photos and soundfiles of the choir. We begin by featuring the full recording of the "Wake Up and Sing" programme broadcast on BBC Radio Derby in 1981. The organist was the late Mr. Johnson.. In addition to the singing there are readings by members of the choir and congregation, including Paul Hendy.
In Mr. Barber's day, the church possessed tow fine choirs. In addition to the Gentlemen and Boys' Choir (to which many club members belonged which sang at Matins and Evensong) there was a fine Ladies' Choir which sang at the Sung Mass on Sunday mornings.
